WTE-Woche für die sechsten Klassen
Die WTE-Woche «Political Debating», organisiert und durchgeführt von den Englischlehrerinnen Olivia Schaub und Vera Wenger, fand zum zweiten Mal statt und bot ein besonderes Highlight: den Besuch bei der SRF-Arena-Aufzeichnung samt anschliessender Diskussion mit Politiker:innen wie der Nationalrätin und ehemaligen HoPro-Schülerin Jacqueline Badran.
Weitere Programmpunkte umfassten eine von EYP (European Youth Parliament) inspirierte «In School Session», verschiedene Debattierformate auf Englisch sowie Gastauftritte von SRF-Bundeshausredaktionsleiter Urs Leuthard und Politik-Dozent Dominique Ursprung. Die Schüler:innen engagierten sich die ganze Woche mit grossem Enthusiasmus und bewiesen dabei eindrückliches Debattiertalent und echte Freude am Schlagabtausch.
«I really liked the political debating week. We discussed political topics in many different interactive ways, which was a lot of fun. The visits from various guests, as well as the EYP session, were also very exciting and inspiring. The highlight of the week was definitely the visit to the Arena, which gave us a great insight into the current political situation in Switzerland. «I really enjoyed the WTE week, especially the political debates and the inspiring guests, because they gave me a better understanding of important current issues. The debates often got quite heated but in a fun way, which made them even more enjoyable. I also liked that I could debate with my friends in a more official and logical manner.
